Meet Buck
A. Age: 8-10 years old.Allergies: He has none that we are aware of.Affection: He loves to cuddle and be petted, he will follow you around the house.
B. Barks at any noise that is from outside or inside if it’s strange to him, he’s a good watch dog.
Will beg if you are eating. He just sits there and stares at you, and drools a lot !
Brushing: He loves to be brushed.
Bath: He was good in the bath tub.
He also barks to come in from outside.
c. Cars and trucks: Buck loves to ride. He can jump in my F350 in a single bound. No car sickness.
Cats: Untested.
Children: He should be with children that are 6 years of age or older. ( Or have been raised with dogs)
He got tossed out of his home because he growled at a toddler crawling all over him, and tugging on him!
D. Dogs: Buck has got along with all dogs he meets, w/o any issues. But guards his treats food and bed, with a growl.
He’s getting better with the pack, but he needs more time to adjust.
He is learning to use a doggie door, if you have a fenced yard .
Drinking: he is not a slob.
Dominant Dog: Yes he is. Probably alpha male. Does not like being sneaked up upon, or mounted !
Doggie Door: He is learning to use our doggie door.
E. Electronic collar: Not needed.
F. Food: Buck gets 1.5 cups of IAMS dog food (in the green bag)in the morning and in the evening
Friendly, with everyone he meets, people and dogs.
Floors: No Issues.
G. Guarding: Buck will guard his food and water bowl, he does not bite, but growls at the dogs to let them know
they are in his space. But will put up a fight if another dog wants what he has.
H. Hearing: is fine.
I. Intelligent: Yes he is, and sharp, he is always looking at me for direction, this is a good trait, and wants to go with you
whenever possible
J. Jumping: Very Little..

M. Meds: Fish oil pill 2 times a day.
N. Neutered: Absolutely.
Toe nails: Does not like them cut, Try to cut one nail everyday ,if you can get away with it .
He does not bite, but tries very hard to get away from you.

Buy a “Furminator” on Ebay or Amazon for app $35.00 , they are $60.00 in Pet stores :o( .Brush him once a week.
S. Sleeping: He sleeps on a dog bed, he sleeps hard, does not wake you at night, does not try to get in our bed.
Sit: He knows this command. Speak, shake a paw, lay down etc. He’s fully trained !
Skin: He has dry skin, so a FISH OIL pill would be good for him 2x a day .
T. Treats: While here in his foster home, he has had 7″ beef bones ,small leather chew chips, and small dog treats,
and he likes all of them.
Teeth: Look great, they are not worn down.
Toys: he likes tennis balls, Nylabones, stuffed footballs etc.
U.
V. Vacuum cleaner: Noises from a Hair dryer , vacuum, or other loud noises, sends him in a different direction.
We are not sure about thunder, but he has heard gunfire in the distance, and he was fine with it .
W. Walks, Buck pulls on a leash, but walks excellent off leash ! He has great recall !

Notes: Buck was sent to the Humane society because he growled at a toddler that was tugging on him and climbing on him ,
he never bit, but out the door he went.
We have had Buck since 12/9/2017 and he has adapted to a home with 5 other dogs, he does great on our walks in the woods,
and has done fine riding in my truck, and living in our home .
He has had “words” with are other dogs over toys, treats, and food, and I expect this, since he is in a whole other world here
He would be a good dog in anyone’s home, and is still active enough to go for hikes, play with the kids and cuddle, as he loves
to be petted, and receive affection.
